What an affiliate link is

When we mention a product or service, the link may include a tracking code. If you follow that link and make a purchase, the company pays us a commission. You pay the same price either way.

What it does and does not change

• It does not change what our tools tell you. The calculators run the same math no matter which links are on the page.
• It does not mean we endorse everything. We only link to products we think are worth your time, but a link is not a guarantee. Do your own homework before buying anything.
• It does mean we get paid for some recommendations. The FTC requires us to tell you that, so we are telling you plainly: we have a financial relationship with some of the companies we link to.

How we mark affiliate links

We aim to label affiliate links clearly wherever they appear, so you always know when a commission is possible.
